This is a basic programming workshop in Python, meant for beginners. Python is a general-purpose programming language commonly used for things like simple automation scripting and scientific computing. Python has a beginner-friendly and approachable syntax, yet is still very powerful & extensible with third-party libraries, with its included package-management system.

This week, we will learn some basic programming and the basic syntax of Python. In the subsequent week’s Hackerschool, we will use some cool third-party libraries to showcase the extensibility and ease of scripting of Python with some real-life automation use cases.

Speakers' Profiles:
Both Christopher Goh and Sun Yitao are coreteam members of NUS Hackers. Both Chris and Yitao have completed several data-science related internships, where they had to extensively use Python for machine learning.
