Respect to Iran for pointing out their right name to the world. I feel like countries and their people should have a say in what they want the world to call them. Not by some past-timer foreigners.

Bharat comes from an ancient king, named 'Bharat'. He captured the land from Himalayas to Indian Ocean.
He named it 'Bharatvarsh'

Because Bahrain was excluded, I will include it in the comment section.

Bahrain is an Arabic word meaning "Two Seas", and is thought to either refer to the fact that the islands contain two sources of water, sweet water springs and salty water in the surrounding seas, or to the south and north waters of the Persian Gulf, separating it from the Arabian coast and Iran, respectively.

5:31 That's the Qing dynasty, it was established in 1636, thousands of years after the Qin Dynasty in 221 BC which is the one that most believe is the origin of the word Cina you mentioned.

Roman emissaries visited Sri Lanka during the reign of Emperor Claudius. They gave a large amount of glass beads to the Sri Lankan king at the time, King Bhathikabeye, who then donated it to the temple of Ruwanwali Maha Saaye, the largest and most important Buddhist temple in Sri Lanka. I'm a student of history from Sri Lanka, and this is the only instance I know of Sri Lankans interacting with the Romans.

The great influence of Persian words on naming different countries reflects the peak of Iranian civilization, and I am proud of it. 🇮🇷❤️‍🔥

China's etymology isn't about the "Qing" dynasty, but the "Qin" one, which is way more older.

How did he miss that the local name for Bhutan is Druk Yul, which means "Land of the Thunder Dragon"? Probably the most epic name for any country in the world

There's a typo or mistake with the China part, the ancient Perian use of Chin/Cina referring to China during the QIN dynasty, not QING dynasty, since QIN was from 2nd century BC, whereas the QING dynasty started in the 17th century.

7:59 ancient Sanskrit texts mention a land by name 'Kamboj Desh'. Probably that's origin of this name.
