I really like this song, especially when the harsh vocals kick in it's a cool way to change it up at the end. I definitely agree with you about this being differentiated from wolfheart, kind of finding their own places but with similarities.

Iosif, this is actually bread and butter Before the Dawn. Your earlier reaction to this band was from the time when BTD had evolved to sound what later became to known as Wolfheart. The last album Rise of the phoenix had no clean vocals and it was more aggressive leaning towards black metal.


Biggest suprise is the guy from Voice of Finland 2022 as a new vocalist and the decision from Tuomas to only play drums, but to my knowlegde he still writes all the songs.

All projects by Tuomas are good stuff, my favorite one is Black Sun Aeon. Imo 'Darkness Walks Beside Me' is best album by Tuomas!

Hey BaldHeaded Metal, I know that you know these old black metal bands like Dissection and Emperor... so have you heard this rather new band 'I Am the Night' yet (it was formed 2020)? I strongly recommend you to react to this band and this song 'Ode To The Nightsky' is just wonderfull in my opinion. I think it would be something interesting to you to hear. Their newest song from 2022 is 'I Am The Night' (same as band name), but I like that 'Ode to nightsky' more.

By the way is that Paavo Laapotti singing there (the guy from the Voice of Finland)? Did they hire him after he sang one of their songs?
