In this video, we get to know a relatively new technology called GraphQL. Its a new, modern way to build your API layer, which can service Browers, mobile and other devices as well. Its meant to provide an alternative design approach to REST, especially while querying data from UI.

We look at what is an issue with usual REST approach of designing APIs. Then we look at how GraphQL can improve performance and reduce round trips to backend over internet. We also learn that its built on a strongly typed specification and understand how that can smoothen the development process. We wrap up the session by understanding few key things to keep in mind before adopting GraphQL
