I wanted to move to the UK since I was a kid. Managed to spend a year here in 2011 and loved it but my visa was up and I had to leave. Thought I’d never make it back. Flash forward 14 years, and I’m living in the UK, and on the path to citizenship. Made my dream come true. You got this, Chef!

Had to leave the UK because of changed visa policies. Led to me breaking things off with my partner and not have any direction about where I am in life now. Passport politics is very real, but, I hope that with time we've got this!

Please be safe, it is not safe to do alot of things as an immigrants in the US right now. It's not even advised for people to travel to the US right now either. Honestly I wish you the best but I suggest making an emergency plan to return to Korea if possible.

While I really support your dream, as a US citizen with the way things are going I would suggest waiting 4 years before coming here. And 80% of businesses fail in the first 5 years. But if you really want to do it go for it and make sure that you have a secure back up plan.
