You aren’t crazy, you really do feel happier after a cup of coffee.

A 1995 study showed that low doses (75 mg and 150 mg) of caffeine improved mood (increase in clearheadedness, happiness and calmness and decreases in tenseness) and cognition (attention, problem solving and delayed recall ) in healthy regular coffee drinkers with only one hour since their last caffeinated beverage. doi: 10.1007/BF02246055
