Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara both appeared in a livestream in partnership with COP26 & Ted Talks telling the world how the climate crisis is fueled by animal agriculture and how to make a change.

Ted Talks Countdown livestream took place on Saturday, October 30 at 12pm ET for Countdown Global. The event was empowering, laying out a credible and realistic pathway to a net-zero future. Presented in collaboration with YouTube Originals and COP26.

Countdown is a global initiative to champion and accelerate solutions to the climate crisis. The goal is to build a better future by cutting greenhouse gas emissions in half by 2030 in the race to a zero-carbon world — a world that is safer, cleaner and fairer for everyone. Every person, organization, company, city and nation is invited to collaborate with Countdown and take action on climate. It is a movement open to everyone — and everyone has a vital role to play.

I don't understand the constant attack on agriculture. We NEED farmers!!! Why not focus more on industry and the poison they dump everywhere??? This is far more a factor in climate change.

When you say "Being vegan is a privileged choice that we get to make every day multiple times a day that we know will make a huge impact" Are you vegan or making a choice to be vegan? Is making a choice multiple times a day a battle? Do you consider the industrial and climate impacts your vegan choices contribute towards?
