Mine is stuck on a black screen after the Welcome screen.... been stuck for more than 12 hours .... I had to roll back to previous version to get PC up & running again. :(

Doing a search, it seems millions of people had this problem with the previous big update? ... I might have to do a clean install :(

It is worth mentioning that when you get the part of the update assistant where it wants to restart it starts a 30 minute countdown where it will reboot for you unless you press the Restart now button so just something to watch for. It did it on both machines I ran it on.

I had a fatal operating system failure on a second computer of mine. A Windows 10 home addition machine.System restore, Reset Windows, nothing worked.I used Ubuntu to recover my files. I reinstalled Windows 10 using a Microsoft ISO download. It included the Creators Update with no option to opt out. I haven't noticed any problems with that machine yet.

Thanks for the video Brian. Creators took forever on three of my PC's (like 4 to 5 hours each) - ended up with two unknown devices on a Sony Vaio i3 laptop - called Microsoft who, after 2 hours messing online, told me to "leave them" or they could put me back to W8.1 (I had been running W10 for over 2 years without issue/unknown devices before Creators) VERY UNIMPRESSED with it. Internet (wifi) connection drops 3 or 4 times a day now for no apparent reason (other wifi devices don't have the issue). Think it needs more work. The installation time is going to cause chaos with many of my customers who turn their PC's on in the morning and expect to be up and running in five minutes. As you mention, it is elective at the moment. I dread to think what will happen when it becomes an automated update. More work for us, I guess!

I dualboot windows 10 and Antergos. I tried the creators update 2 days and it made my windows boot an extra 20 seconds longer.
I fixed it by running sfc /scannow as admin and I scheduled a chkdsk at boot, however it broke grub2 bootloader, I reinstalled and configured grub and now I can boot both OSes AND windows 10 boot speed is back to what it was before :)

thanks brian....it's ok the one thing i have crumps about is storage selection; now it only lets you download to the drive/partition and not the folder in the drive/partition....unless i missed something

thanks for the video but I have an issue come up when upgrading to creators update,
All set done, & now when pc restarts & says 'working for updates --20% done' etc at it goes to 80% my pc sucks at Blue screen & says 'system thread exception not handled' & its goes back to previous installation process version 14393. I'm much worried about it, pls help me. Actually this issue happens through both windows update & upgrade assistant tool.

A secomd issue I have noticed is if you have a God Mode folder on your pc you created, it no longer has any writing on it, but it works fine. I had mine saved in my h.d.d where I keep all my desktop, documents, favorites, downloads, links, music, pictures, saved games, searches and videos at, while Windows, programs/app and games are on a ssd.

The main reason I got rid of 10 and went back to 7 was the telemetry. But another nail in the coffin was I noticed a Windows.old folder after upgrading from 1511 to the anniversary update, which just reminded me of the old upgrade vs. clean install back in the day. I always opted for a clean install because something always went wrong if I did an upgrade. So if I did decide to install 10, it looks like I'd be doing a clean install every year, and those days have long gone.

Hey Brian. Good video, thanks. Out of curiosity, what's your download speed as it appeared to be motoring in the video or did you speed it up? You had 10% downloaded in less than a minute. I upgraded all my machines and the download to flash drive took 32 minutes at a standard download speed of about 15-16 mb/sec. The creators update for Windows 10 Pro is 3.4 GB.
