The cane toads there are crazy! I went to north queensland for a year in high school and couldn't believe how many toads they have. The whole ground would literally be covered with them at night. You couldn't take a step without stepping on a toad. Everyone would try and squash them with their cars too, so there would be hundreds of dead flat toads all over the roads in the morning. Such a strange thing when you come from ohio. Lol

Killing toads is a good way to help control these pests, but remember, their poison can still kill animals when there dead, so please bag them up and freeze them, and compost them.
If u want to really put a dent in there population, catch the tadpoles using dead toads with a tadpole trap(its possible to catch 100 thousand each time!!)
Cheers

I’m amazed that these guys have not died from the cane toad’s glandular poison. One cut on your skin and the poison travels through that cut to your blood system and you die of a massive heart attack! These are not toads to deal lightly! Wow!

Australia's war against cane toad is like America's war on drugs.

Each female cane toad lays 25, 000 eggs twice a year. This isn't stopping anything. I'm an Aussie, if it matters.

Can we appreciate that they just pick them up and put them in plastic bags to get rid of them?

Imagine if we took invasive species as seriously as this fellow does.

Imagine if we could bloody afford to.

yeah there is more toad than road in some places in Australia they have evolved into a different species since there release only the strongest can make the often long desert journey to the next water hole arriving first to breed then their off spring does the same they are getting big enough to eat your dog.

I used to throw them over the back fence onto the parkland.
They kept coming back.
Now I turn them on their back and quickly Slit them down the middle with a fishing knife.
Quicker than stuffing around putting them in the fridge.
