The Netherlands is trying to address the the problem with algae runoff from the farms that destroys the fishing industry and the long term climate change goals of reducing CO2. Those are topics beyond the understanding of someone like Trump.

hahaha the protests are not about the climate plans at all. The government wants to reduce the nitrogen emissions caused by the huge amount of animals per square kilometer. The Netherlands has the highest amount of animals and humans combined per square kilometer in the world. Around 520 pieces of cattle, around 520 pieces of poultry and around 520 humans per square kilometer. This is a very unhealthy situation for humans, the animals, and the environment. We also have a huge shortage of affordable houses. Which causes that people have to wait for twelve years before they can apply for an affordable home. It also causes that construction companies are not allowed to build houses due to the nitrogen emissions limitations that are in place by law. We need less pollution, and more houses.
