Setup MySql On Proxmox Using LXC

In this video I walk you through setting up a MySQL server on Proxmox using Linux containers (LXC). I primarily use a local MySQL container for software development and find it far easier then installing on my local machine. There are plenty of HomeLab applications that benefit from having a database.

i'm running a ubuntu 22.04 guest (ext4) on pve 7.3-3 (zfs), quite horrified to find that it takes MySQL 3 mins to ingest a 20MB uncompressed .SQL file... any idea what might be the issue?

If there a way to add mdns to a proxmox container to automatically find it in case of a dhcp up change. Trying to make sure all my proxmox resources are named. TIA

Can you make a video of how to access the DB remotely? I have a script i want to add data to this db but it seems that the turnkey linux box requires you to include the ssl keys which is an extra step i am trying to figure out.

You have not explained the way you've got the Turnkey templates which are not available by default.
