As to the dryness out west it is a cycle that has happened before. The downside is authorties were dumping millions of gallons or more into the ocean. they did not prep or prepare, but they could also have done this to get money cause California is broke.

It’s pretty sad. The Dixie Fire is bigger than the city of Chicago or ...LA. It’s just heartbreaking. The National fire maps are available. (You are right. ) But, what do ...they have to offer! Tree planting is a federal job. I did that for a while. It’s fun, muddy and yet, there are plenty of federal resources ...we could be using to do some things better ...like tree plantings!! Go for this....
