A Frigid Night Under The Stars: Camping In The Wild.

It had been the coldest night in over 12 years but the forecast was good for a wild camp in terms of clouds and wind, so I headed to a hill top with a nice view. Twas a tad cold but having the right gear saw me through....

An ideal camp, no wind or rain, no midges, a clear night sky, a wee fire, a whiskey or 2 and no neighbours. That's the way to do it. 🌛🔥🤘

Camped there last night. Very rocky ground but managed to get the Nallo 2gt in eventually. The views were amazing for such a short hike. Nice wee spot if the weather is not great too. Glad I remembered you uploaded this! Needed a short hike considering how rubbish the weather has been the last few days.

Another nice one Murray, thanks for bringing back memories of when I used to camp wild and high a lot. I hope I can get out again in my old age, but until then your videos will keep me going!

I never cease to e amazed how warm you can be in a tent on a cold night with the right gear and planning :)

Great video, last time I ventured to Ben Chonzie from Loch Turret it was a bogfest upto my knees at the base of the bealach. Will do it another day, or maybe go up where you camped. Hope to see a video of the Steaminboots team kayaking into the Cuillins like Nick Ray sometime.
