This video discusses principles and concepts in fluid mechanics and hydraulics as well as the associated sample problem videos as applications or demonstration of the concepts/principles discussed. The needed skills of the viewers and the subscribers are the basic engineering mathematics as well as statics which you can find in my other playlists. By patiently watching these videos, I hope that you will be transformed into better engineering students.

The moment of inertia of a triangle with respect to the centroidal axis is bh^3/36; with respect to the base is bh^3/12; with respect to a parallel axis through a different point parallel to the centroidal axis, use the transfer formula I=bh^3/36 +Ad^2, where d is the distance between the centroidal axis and the parallel axis through any other point. Please review topic on moment of inertia on area. I have uploaded I think this topic in statics or I have sample problems. I will discuss this thoroughly in the future. You can also derive moment of inertia with respect to the base of a triangle as I use transfer formula;

Hello, sir. Would just like to clarify for the Moment of Inertia for the semi-circle. Should we not use 0.11r^4 po, or is that a different formula for the MI of a semi-circle po? Thank you so much for your response! 💕
