My favorite Joker origin is the Batman movie ‘89, of Jack Napier. An on the rise gangster, guns down a rich socialite and his wife leaving their son behind, with the words, “Hey kid. Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight? See you around.” This of course leads to Bruce eventually becoming Batman and the epic confrontation on top of the bell tower, where this follows:

JOKER-
You maniac, it was you who dropped me in the tanks. You made me.

BATMAN-
I made you. And you made me.

JOKER-
What is this? I say you made me and you have to say I made you? How childish can you get? You're insane.

It is the most perfect way to describe why these two are unavoidably linked into each other’s origins.

I appreciate how the hero is a dark shades of grey guy with a scowl and the villain is a bright colorful guy with a smile.

I personally choose to believe that Joker doesn’t know who Batman is. I think villains knowing the heroes identity has been massively overdone. Heroes were masks for a reason Writers. How about actually letting said masks do their job instead of going for the lame shock value of “Oh no! The villain now knows our heroes identity!”

Love all the Batman Who Laughs stories! I know some people are sick of it but he really isn’t always in the spotlight. Just lurking in the shadows. New favorite Batman villain for sure

Also, after Jokers Face is cut off, his daughter (yes that was a thing) put it on her face after it should have stankin'. The fact that he didnt walk in a room and people werent like "Dude", and pinch their nose immediately, is a little crazy.
