I have DV IQ on my Panasonic JZ OLED. It does close to Nothing! Furthermore, not only does it add almost nothing, it disrupts the image quality by enabling motion smoothness (soap opera effect) and you CANNOT turn in off in the settings. It's greyed out. So if you hate the soap opera effect like I do, you can't even realistically use it because it will make your movies feel like they are playing above 24fps.

Apparently there will be an option to turn off the soap opera effect in the 2023 models which is basically Panasonic admitting they were wrong about this in their 2021 and 2022 models.

What happens if your TV has Dolby Vision IQ but your AV reciever doesn't (when watching BD/4K movies for example)?

Any chance of Dolby Vision IQ coming to older high end TV models with light sensors (e.g. LG C8), or is it only for TVs released from 2020 onward?

I have an LG G1 which supposedly has Dolby Vision IQ through its “AI Brightness” feature, and it does….Nothing. Turn on all the lights, open all the windows, and nothing.

Notice all the TVs have really bad reflections on them? This is because only crap TVs use Dolby Vision. Samsung vs Dolby Vision
