We announced in October that the game would not include MP: Throughout the development of Metro: Last light a small, dedicated team had been working on a number of multiplayer prototypes. After E3, we decided to fold this multiplayer team back into the main group and focus 100% of the studio’s resources on the single player campaign. As a result, Metro: Last Light will not ship with a multiplayer component.

Looking forward to the game alot, Metro 2033 introduced me to a dark and intreasting world which i got sucked into and i can't wait to immerse myself in Last Light. I'm also glad you guys are focusing on the SP and decided to drop the MP mode, competetive MP would feel a bit odd in Metro. I'd rather have a co-op mode with a seperate mini campaign.

I literally did in O-FACE when I seen this on my subscriber feed, my heart beat rose above 9000 and I barely managed to click the like button before even VIEWING the video, because I knew....it was Metro Last Light.

i'm so glad to hear you guys are focusing on what matters. however i do think it would be great if you did some co-op horde mode stuff as dlc. also if you do make some mp content i think a map editor like far cry 2/3 would be amazing

Good. There are already enough games out there with mindless multiplayer. Friends can feel involved just by watching; Metro is so well done that it's sometimes practically like an interactive movie. It is an inspiration for quality art!

I think its very wise and appreciated by fans of the game that you decided to not include multiplayer and instead focus on single player. Too often are games going off of a check list of features that must be added regardless of quality, so in the end things feel shoe-horned in and the entire product suffers as a result of those resources which could have been allocated elsewhere.

You may not think it but some folks really appreciate and respect developers who do this

Good Decision! I'm Actually glad that there isn't going to be any MP. Seems like for every game that has multi-player, the single-player loses its purpose of the game. Which then the audience would judge the multi-player on top of the single-player.

I think instead of making a multiplayer mode you should've made a co-op mode. It would've been cool to go on scouting missions together in the metro.

I have two questions. One will it be open world or an option for open world. As i would love to explore the entire metro with all it's dangers and mysteries. Two will it be possible to have a more hardcore mode without increasing damage. For example no hitmarkers, less ammo, more aware/more guards, etc.
