Can you import existing resources with READ-ONLY access?

Hello! This was very helpful. I am having troubles with an EC2 bootstrapped with a userdata. When I import and run terraform plan after cleaning up the config file, it does not match my statefile due to the userdata . Any idea on how to properly import an EC2 with a user data attached to it, in a way that it will match the state file after I update the config file?

It is too hard when I try to import some big resource like EKS or RDS cluster

Very informative, Thanks, suppose we have 10 resources to import, suppose we import one resource and do a Terra-form refresh command, will that update the Terra-form state file & capture the other 9 remaining resources
