You can use the Heroics Notary if you play a lot of WvW to help speed up world completion a little bit by rapidly completing hero points. :)

Edit: A few big tips from a WvW vet for those who hate WvW:

1) The dailies can be extremely easy and often require zero contact with enemy players.

2) Look for the Caravan Killer and Camp Capturer as these are easy, and if both are up on the same day, you basically get a 2-for-1

3) The "Land Claimer" one sounds daunting but is literally the easiest one. All you have to do is kill a single NPC sentry on the map, and capture the ring. You don't need a guild and you don't need to claim a tower or keep or anything. Just capture the sentry point and you're done.

4) Honestly, avoid the Veteren Creature Slayer ones. These sound the most PvE-friendly, but they are on a relatively long cool down, are usually hard to get to, and they're cross-server spawns, meaning enemy groups will often be camping and waiting on the same spawn for their dailies. If you hate fighting people, this one is a trap.

Alright, end *edit*

I can't stress enough; legendaries in GW2 are MARATHONS, not sprints. Think of this as a multi-month long project you chip away at so you don't get burnt out.

This is especially true if you've never crafted one before because there are DOZENS of story quests, achievements, and mastery points you must all do first (but only once per account) meaning your first legendary will take longer than the rest.

To put in perspective, it took me 6-9 months of consistent playing before I got my first legendary. It was gen 2 so, admittedly a lot harder than the others, but after that, I had my second legendary in a month, and my third in a few weeks.

The first one really is a HUGE hurdle but if you can get past it, the ones after are MUCH easier because you will have already completed loads of once-per-account achievements required to craft them.

As a newer player it feels like legendary accessories and armor are a lot more versatile than weapons since you can use them in more builds. Definitely going to check out the LW and season of dragons ones to get started

This is awesome. I’ve been doing world completion for a couple weeks now casually and it’s a beast. Can’t wait to have sunrise!

English isn't my main language so sometimes it is hard for me to understand everything, but god it is insane how great and professional your content is for such a "small" channel, keep up the great work and I hope you will eventually get the recognition you deserve!

Another option for clovers is the Drizzlewood map where you can get two clovers every time you complete a Commendation loop of a legion you choose from from the Quartermaster npc.

I've literally never heard anyone refer to Miyani as the "Mystic Forge Wench"

There's no cheap way to get legendaries. It will cost you a lot ton of time and gold if you want to craft it yourself. A legendary weapon would take from a month to months depending on how much you grind for the weapon. If you don't want to get burnt out with your grind just do it casually while doing a thing at a time. Also don't grind thousands of gold to buy generation 1 or 3 legendaries. It costs few hundreds more than how much gold it would cost you from crafting unless you don't care about throwing some 💸💸. Don't do it on haste about getting a legendary since you don't need to worry about monthly subs. Lol

*Me before the video:*
_"Nice. That might actually make me getting into this."_
*Me after the video:*
_"Holy S**t. I'll never get a legendary, and it's even more complicated than I thought already."_

for anyone that hasnt made a legendary yet, its definitely best to get trinkets and armor first for the quality of like trinkets can be used on every single one of your characters, and armor can be used on multiples as well, although you would need all 3 weights to use it on all characters. but still better than a weapon, which might only get used on one character if its not used in many builds. i would only suggest getting a weapon first if youre either really attached to the look/design of it, or if its a weapon you use in multiple builds across different characters.

This is exactly why I never got into Legendaries. Way too complicated and I've been playing since launch. However, I finally have the balls to learn this :D Thanks!

As a new player that has no friends in this game, or a guild and just dinged lvl 80 working on all the story, living world and expansions... this is to overwhelming... plus having like maybe 3-4 hours of gameplay during week and sometimes 5 in the week-ends... i fear i might never be able to make even a single legendary... just the thought now is scary especialy if i need to also make alts for the professions...

I'm not even halfway through and I've already been overwhelmed.

Main tips for new players is that you do not NEED legendries. They have exactly the same stats as ascended gear/weapon. The only thing you get is looks and convenience of switching stats. You don't care about this in the beginning on your GW2 saga. This is end game stuff that costs ludicrous amount of money and takes weeks/months/years to obtain. Same goes for 32 slot bags. See 20 slot bags as "reasonably obtainable". 20slot will cost you ~10g on TP. 32 slot on the other hand will cost you almost 200g/bag! Not a prio for a new player an even most of the seasoned players. But when you have all in this game, tried different modes, have many alts and specializations - THEN it's time to look into those shiny legendaries and 32 slot bags.

Awesome Video Abree !!
Perfect timing too, just got my first Precursor the other day, won it from Twitch. Great to know all the steps needed to get it to Legendary. So, about 60% there already for the crafting materials. However, Gift of Exploration, ...mmmm.. thats still abit to go, but using Tactical Overlay ( TacO ) though, now that looks like it will be a little easier. Cheers

Great video! I got into crafting Legendary Gen 1 weapons early in my GW2 journey, because I was lucky and received two precursors within my first 6 to 12 months of playing. I got Zap, the sword precursor for Bolt from the Mystic Forge after throwing 3 random rare weapons plus a mystic stone into the Mystic Forge on my last try, since I did not have an even number of rare weapons, divisible by 4, so I used the stone. I had only tried a dozen or so rare weapons, just because I had heard about other players doing it. My 1st precursor, I had previously gotten as a loot drop, but I don't know when or where, because I did not even realize it was a precursor until days later. It was the Trident precursor with the eels on it. I crafted the Trident, but then sold it, so I could buy the precursor for Twilight, which at that time was almost 800 gold to purchase on the TP. Since those first two Gen 1 Legendary weapons, I have improved my gold making ability and knew which mats to save and which to sell, and the only thing that slows me down from crafting Legendary weapons now is getting the Gift of Battle in WvW, as I usually depend mostly on just doing a few dailies, and using the potions for track progress, so this can take me several weeks between each Gift of Battle, during which time I gather about half of the T6 mats I need, and get most of the rest by rolling for clovers in the Mystic Forge. I now have one Legendary of every weapon type, except the Mace, which I have already purchased the precursor for and should have it crafted within a few weeks after writing this. I also have two Incinerator daggers, for dual wielding, and plan to get a 2nd axe, pistol, sword, and mace, also for dual wielding. For some reason though, I have had a mental block keeping me from working on Legendary trinkets and back piece, but I have completed the 1st Legendary Raid armor collection, and started the 2nd collection, plus have collected all of the Provisioner Tokens I need to complete that armor, so I'm on my way toward completing my first set of Legendary armor and hope to also begin working on the WvW and PvP Legendary armor sets, so I'll have one of each armor weight. For me, crafting Legendary gear is the true end game for GW2.
