i noticed you dont use brackets on your scaffold. would help with production since the laborer could mount the scaffold and set it up before, so when its time to go up you just install the brackets and macon run and you're ready to go. the wording might be different from what you guys use im from canada qc. its 5 years in maconry and loving it :P cheers mate!

Is the double layer of bricks a commercial code issue? Just curious. I don't think I've seen any residential homes with double layers.

Also, is the mortar application the same with cinder blocks, as in allowing for 10mm between layers? Thanks for the info!

Why is the aussie gauge 86mm? How u gonna remember 86, 172, 258 and so on? Even 85mm would make it easier. In germany it's 83, so 12 courses work out roughly to 1 meter. Or 62, 5mm so it's 16 to the meter.

in America we would of ran a header course tieing the 2 wyth wall together.... every 5 or 6 coarse.... but the ties will work
