Call it “lazy, ” but to me this is the epitome of real, because Adore’s drag represents so many girls I actually KNOW. You don’t need to be cinched and padded to high heaven for effective female impersonation/femme drag. While I do think cinching and padding is an art form in its own right, it’s ridiculous to me to act like women don’t come in a variety of shapes and sizes, like only super curvy or stick thin shapes are valid body types for women. Some women are boxier! Some aren’t super thin but still aren’t super curvaceous! To me, great drag has a lot to do with performance and attitude. Adore is a kick ass performer with a great personality, who also happens to be cute as hell. She doesn’t need to be corseted to prove some stupid point. She’s talented and super entertaining!

Drag queens don't want to be women, and it is correct to use female pronouns if a person is in drag, and male pronouns if a person is out of drag. I don't agree that people should be pigeonholed.
