There are several ways to get this done for sure. The method you posted above is an excellent example.

Just put FA pads on my Tracer 900. Wow, huge improvement over stock pads!
After installation the front brake was spongy. Did the cable tie trick on lever over night. That did work well. Have firm brakes. Thanks Van

IMO Brake Pads are a lot like tires. There are several very good tires, all have their own unique qualities and performance characteristics. Personally I enjoy the opportunity to try new tires and brakes. Switching things up a bit is pretty cool.

I just put these on my 2009 ZX10R. I must say that they work extremely well. I would definitely say that they are a slight to moderate upgrade from stock pads. Very good bite at a very good price

Some of the full race pads will break in a little faster as long as there is some friction material already on the rotors. Even in a race you have your siting lap which allows for the opportunity to bed the pads in if a last minute change was made. I would not suggest going hard on a new set of pads straight away if it can be avoided.

Just riding the brakes and giving yourself extra stopping distance to do it really helps. Don't hold the brakes until you stop either. Let off before they stop. Do that a few times really starts the brake-in process. Scuffing the roter helps bed the new brake pads.

I use stock on my ZX6R track bike and I feel that they don't need to break in. I remember well when I did my first race and I changed the pad because the other one was old and I didn't have time to break in them, and I didn't need too, they were good since first min.

If you want to stay all EBC go with their contour rotors and the EPFA pads.

Excellent informative video as always, this is why I love your store. Thanks very much Brian. I'll be picking up a set of EPFA for my R1 road and occasional track bike.

Hello Mr. V, I was wondering if you could advise me on the issue of carbon fiber brake pads ? I ride a 07 gsxr 600 on the street, and I don't do track days , but I do get a little aggressive on the street and some curvy country roads .Thank you.

EBC - European Brake Company. Made mostly in the UK, or US. Headquarters - UK.

It would be interesting to see a British made and US made pad for the same bike. See if there is any difference in performance.
