The Big Bang theory was hinted at in the Koran long before this theory was discovered. Allah SWT explains in Surah Al-Anbiya verse 30 regarding the process of creating the universe.
Meaning: "And do those who disbelieve do not know that the heavens and the earth were once united, then We separated the two; and We made everything living from water; so why do they not believe?" (QS Al-Anbiya: 30)

It is also worth noting that the Arabic words Arba'a Ayam are often translated as four days. However, Ayam can mean days, stages, phases, eons, eras, periods. In terms of the Creation, it is much more likely that it means four stages or four phases, than four days. Elsewhere in the Quran, Allah explains that a day to Him could be an enormous amount of time to us. This also seems to confirm that He is referring to very long periods or phases or stages of time and NOT days as we view them.

When Allah (SWT) refers to days it is a period of time not earthly days. As we all knows days are different depending on what is being discussed.
