We interview a Local Floridian whom has lived his entire life in the deep woods of the Florida Swamps, fishing, and living a very remote rural life in a small town. He explains how amazing it is to share close encounters with wildlife and the struggles of small town life like fishing for work.
COPELAND, FLORIDA - Located in COLLIER the richest county in Florida.. The money does not trickle down to these remote rural towns where sometimes people resort to sustenance fishing to survive.

I really like when you have interviews with the locals. It gives a feel for the area.

The background music in this video was highly appropriate.

What a sweet guy. Protecting the Panthers...wonder how. Everglades are sooo peaceful in winter. I like how you made the music match the area in this one!

As a life long south Floridian, when you talk about "people of the everglades" i always think of the Miccosukees; was kind of surprised to see no mention of them here. Have you ever done a video in those parts? fastinating ppl & culture, and usually the average tribal member can tell u more about the everglades than most people. the conversation was great and the first-person perspective of chokoloskee / everglades city was cool. glad i found this channel

Old FL...real FL...miccosukee res...fishing and just existing is all there is. Great interview with the local dude. Gives those who are not from FL an inside look. Thanks from a native Floridian.

In my opinion, this is the best video so far. As other comments have said, you should try and get more interviews of local people, it was so interesting to hear a local guy talk about his like style in a remote area in Florida. The drones shots are awesome, and your narration over the videos with interesting facts about the city you drive through are cool to hear. Keep up the go work Jose, top man...

I lived in FL for 16 yrs, enjoyed nature and met alot of good natives, i feel for native Floridians, it used to be an awesome place, as recently as the 70s

Think about this. I was born down here in 1958. I never AC until 1980. Didn't have a clothes dryer either. My mom and dad were born her in the 30's. To me it's fun to watch people come down here and complain about the heat and bugs. Well, why did they come down here? I still fish fish for fresh water fish and saltwater fish. It's nothing new to me. Gators, bears, sharks, you name it. I'm still alive and kickin ass!

The tuning of the whistle sound against the synthesized banjo was by far, the most disconcerting part of this piece.

Mission accomplished.

This is so cool. 💜 You should do one on Key West Bahama Village. Alot of Bahamian culture there. It would be a cool road trip for you. Conch culture. I lived there for eight years it's a world of its own! Love this video...beautiful !

Excellent video. Love that area of the Everglades, and this is probably one of the best videos on YouTube. You are a great storyteller.

The interesting thing is.. what about those who live way out there you got towns in the edges but still in the Everglades… however. There are others deep in the middle, , where the roads are dirt and resemble trails 100 miles deep

hi josè - great spot to film along with the drone coverage and interview. a fun ending watching you fish. the drive down the dark gravel road was scary 😳. you could do an entire video on the everglades night life, both 4 legged and 2 legged variety!
