I love light flyrod picked up a 8.5 3wgt....can t wait to try it...lotta trout I catch at a local pond are tiny..( specks ) =4" 8" big is 14"
Use a 4wgt but my rods only 7' ....when ur in 2ft and wading ur still havin issues casting light stuff m hopin by over waiting ( lol, 4wgt line on the 3wgt rod ) it ll give me the height I need to get 15ft more...all I really need...BTW
when usin lite leaders...wind knots will lose u more fish than anything in my experiences..

Better than my day today. All I caught was a few stings from jellyfish. But I got some great double haul practice! 🤣😭☹️

I read articles that 4x is more appropriate. Unless you're fishing Spring creeks. Tight line, brother.

I think the fly coming out it mouth and sinking into your eye would be the worst ending to a fish fight

I thought sure you were going to take a fly in the eye or at least roll your float tube. That's just easy release.
