Sailing with the spinnaker can be a hoot, but also a horror because they can be tricky to get down. Solo its even harder. Add foils sticking out the side of your boat to catch any wayward cloth and your technique has be perfect!

I’ve tryed this procedure. As my gennaker tack sheet was too short, and the boat reaching… it was a mess. Your video showed that it’s possible! A longer tack sheet and on a running point of sailing!

As you dropped the spinnaker a minute early, whilst waiting to round the mark you could used the time to packed the kite :-)

Thanks for sharing! Welcome to show in your next movie how you set the spinnaker and also take down in hard weather. Do you always pack the spinnaker before hoisting it again or do you sometimes hoist it from the cockpit hatch?
