Front-End Dev 020 :: CSS Custom Properties and First React Components

In this module we begin using CSS Custom Properties to centralize some style properties and create our first react components in the app. CSS Custom Properties are hugely helpful without using a CSS preprocessor or framework.

This front end development series covers building a front end web app with React JS, CSS Grid and some other goodies. We use what a modern evergreen browser ships, such as modern CSS including CSS grid for layout, instead of incessant dependencies. The CSS approaches are agnostic of framework, and would work equally well in other frameworks such as Vue, in web components applications, or in a Vanilla JS app or site. The series isn’t a deep-dive course on React development but concepts are explained along the way so you should be able to follow along even if you don’t have much React JS development experience, or any at all.
