My teenage days just flashed in front of me. Those were the easy days, and how we used to worry n overthink everything without the slightest idea that we're going to face much more difficult situations in this never ending phase called adult life.

खूब आग लगी है चारों ओर, हर दिल जल रहा है
भला कोई बतायेगा आखिर क्या चल रहा है

हर ज़ख्म और गहरा होता जा रहा है
कम्बख्त कौन आखिर ये नमक मल रहा है

बालों के बदलते रंग जुबां को चढ़ रहे हैं
सारे आ जाओ, ग़ज़ब का तमाशा चल रहा है

लदे हैं उनके बगीचे गुलमोहर के गुच्छों से
यहाँ तो फ़क़त गुज़ारा चल रहा है

आब का ग़ुरूर सुस्त पड़ गया है
ज़रूर कोई बड़ा मछुआरा चल रहा है

यूँ तो नशीली शराब होती है
अब हुक़ूमत का नशा रफ़्तार पकड़ रहा है

फिर दीदार होगा चाँद का
फिर से दिन ढल रहा है

सबका बराबर हिसाब होगा 'मुस्तशना'
आहिस्ता ही सही, वक़्त बदल रहा है।।
