In the Focus St it sounds sweet, just to clarify what has ford done to the motor in St if they are the same

Yes i know, so the Ford wins hands down before the evoque, the Ford Kuga has the same engine i suppose in USA and that too wasnt sounding good but power was adequate to great

does the evoque have the same ecoboost engine as the Focus ST

hmm but Range rover is heavier so but it has got a better gearbox than Ford so overall the Kuga/Escape 2.0 Ecoboost and Evoque 2.0 ecoboost will have same GPS 0-100 kmph in 8.28seconds

Yes agree with that, but old St had horrible under steer and even less traction than new ST and it wasnt luxurious inside and no features and it was just the volvo 5 pot that was its hi lite, but its emission of more than 200 kg co2 is a huge pollution contributor as well so Ford did their best 2 put a turbo i4 and tried to resonate the intake sound inside and 4 most of the part it works although not as sweet as the original, anyway much better than VW and renaults and astra s boring sounds

Yeah, but that is just fake interior sound.. But when you get out of the car there is almost no sound. Just wind.
Epic mistake from Ford (ST is not diesel economy car).
I would buy old ST225 before new ST250.
