Favorite LP of mine by them for a number of reasons. Released during an especially happy time for moi and to my ears this was their last LP that was rock 'n roll based and not metal/power chord tinged. They toured with this album, the first time I saw them live and it was a treat. Suppose the world will never see Ray and Dave perform live together again but such is life. The Kinks were one of the Best Rock and Roll Bands to ever roam the Earth. Salute.

Pray for Dave who suffered a stroke in June 2022. The most underrrated guitarist in rock history.

I was a misfit, and the Low Budget Tour was the 2nd greatest show of my life. Ray Davies, along with David Byrne and Bernie Taupin, are my fave rock lyricists. Low Budget sure keeps me on my toes. I count every penny, and I watch where it goes.

Después de la maravillosa obra musical teatral “Preservation Act 2”, “Misfist” es mi segundo álbum favorito de The Kinks de los años 70s. Mencionar a más de algunos, la fantastica década de los The Kinks en los 70s. Prolíficos, creativos y nunca se repetían, cada álbum nuevo parecía sonar a otro grupo diferente. Posiblemente el mejor legado discográfico de pop y rock junto a los The Beatles. Aún así no deja de ser un grupo de culto. Todo esto gracia al compositor y creador más inteligente de la música contemporánea, Ray Davies.

If "The Last Of The Steam-Powered Trains" were on the White Album everyone would know it was one of the best songs on the White Album. If "The Way Love Used To Be" were on Abbey Road everyone would know it was one of the best songs on Abbey Road. If "Funny Face" (Dave) were on Sgt. Pepper everyone would know it was one of the best songs on Sgt. Pepper. Am I lying?

I'm on a Kinks journey. This album is #16,  released in '78. The same year I saw them performing in Central Park. We watched from the rocks, smoked up and had a blast.
Here The Kinks continue to return to form, starting with the album before this one, Sleepwalker. Even with this renewed success two band member quit. Ray Davies must be a force to reckon with.
I love the song "Trust Your Heart". Should've received more radio play.
