My hypothesis is that Souko was the head of Momobami clan, not until Kirari challenged and defeated her in a gamble against everything, Souko was stripped of her power not just as a head of the clan, but also as a member of it (that is why it was heavily implied that they're a DISTANT relative). Souko couldn't accept the defeat not just because she lost everything, but also because she lost to a child and that is why she went nuts (Also explaining why Yumeko was so rich and not scared to gamble any amount of money aside from her confidence of winning against anyone).

From chapters 101 to 105 of the manga, it is confirmed what exactly happened to Jumekos parents and how her sister got hospitalized. So in a way, it technically is sort of Kiraris fault.

actually I read the manga kirari isn't going to kill souko but she wil actually kill her aunt tsugiko because tsugiko played a game of dice against souko so they can decide who will lead the jabami family and kirari decides that if tsugiko was to lose she will be banished from the momobami family tree and if souko was to lose then tsugiko will adopt yumeko jabami as her daughter so souko immediately refuses to play against tsugiko but kirari tells her a forfeit will not be accepted so she has to play against tsugiko and she has 1M yen while tsugiko has 7M yen so souko shows her strength by manipulating the dice rolls and after beating tsugiko and gaining 8M it turns out completely different because tsugiko's actual amount of money is 8B and souko ends up losing, but yumeko takes her place and she beats tsugiko so she eventually is supposed to be the one to die
