A few remarks: 1. The Italians don't sing the national anthem with the passion they show nowadays. Does this mean that people and the players have become more nationalists? I don't think so. On the contrary... It seems to me that the italian signing of the anthem has turned into part of the show and spectators all over the world expect the Italians to sing loudly. The passionate singing started when some players like Buffon and Gattuzo sang loud because they felt so, but since then, it is more like a trend. 2. Both teams are legendary. Only two or three from each side have not left their mark in football. 3. There were still bands playing the anthem. Love it. 4. Italy wearing Diadora and not Adidas or Puma which is so not Italian. 5. The most iconic Germany kit. All time classic. 6. Players being natives from each country.
