Gary is one of my favorites, I'm especially fond of his work with Holdsworth and Level 42

I've been using paiste 2002 cymbals for over 20 yrs. No other cymbal sounds as good as them. I also use, 505 green label sound edge hats, alpha sound edge hats, alpha swiss cymbals, and paiste Twenty china's. My favourite cymbal though is my 20" 2002 ride cymbal. Truly great cymbals.

Just got a pair of Rude Hi Hats and they just blowed my mind! The weight, the stick feel, the tone….it’s just the best Hi Hats I ever played!

I remember the first time trying the Rude hats and being so pleasantly surprised by how versatile they were. Wish I could say the same for the crashes

Gary rules. I was introduced to him, via Holdsworth. Following along with him, these days, is a treat.

Gary The Great!! One of my all time favourite drummers and musicians! I was really happy when he found his way to Paiste. I think the company´s cymbals has a lot more interesting characters than Zildjians (not to say the Zild´s are bad cymbals or anywhing), and I think it really suits Gary´s creative voice spot on. Yes, I am surprised over seeing him using a Rude hi-hat in this context, but my oh my, it really do work! Also very interesting hearing him play the all-metal Paiste alloy-kit (which I assume it is...?), not to mention coated heads. Great drummer and great cymbal company!😀🥁👏

I said the same thing when I saw the 20 Rude thin crash and then I hit it and now I own it. Lol!! Don't let the name fool you like you said. Very Musical!!

Very weird EQ on this video. I say this respectfully to try to help. I have noticed this on several videos recorded in this room. There seems to be an overabundance of high mids, and low mids are completely swept. It just doesn't sound great. You can really tell something is off by the snare sound that seems to be lacking body on all of these videos. Feel free to delete this comment, but maybe the monitors you're mixing though are coloring the sound or something? I know these cymbals sound much better than they sound in this video.

Gary is a highly respected drummer and pianist! The crashes, ride and China sound Amazing but the hihat hurts my ears…😢. Probably a mixing and EQ issue?
