I’m glad that the waitress was there to help, I hope the dad learned his lesson in this video. You know, Joy Berry’s Alerting Kids To The Danger Zones book about abuse & neglect teaches kids that talking to caring adults they can trust is the best way to get help if they think they’re being abused.

The thing to remember is that parents can often be under a lot of stress and kids seem to not be aware of that. I know my mom hit me in the back really hard once for not doing the dishes right. I never hated my mom because I don't think she meant it and her dad was very sick and in the hospital at the time.
