One memorable goosebumps I had was a "Choose your own adventure". First choice of the book lets you abort the story. Book responded by basically saying "then why'd you buy this book lame-o?" it's great.

I literally have not read a goosebumps book since I was like 11 years old, a good 17 years ago. Going into this video I was going "it's Monster Blood 4 isn't it." Somehow even as an 11 year old I knew that book sucked.

Honestly, I feel like the cover art was the best thing about the goosebumps books. I don’t know what it was, but something about those cover art images was really surreal and atmospheric. I remember always buying a book based off the cover and story almost never lived up to how creepy the cover made it feel.

probably to me along with worst it was a disappointment, cause every new sequel the book got, I always envision them finally finding the source of monster-blood, like discovering the actual monster the blood came from, and then the 4th book came out and it was just slugs, yeah, think that was also my last goosebump book I've read and stopped...

To me the spot of worst Goosebumps book is in a tie between "The Legend of the Lost Legend" or "The Beast from the East", which both feature some of the probably most nonsensical plots of any of the books, which reads literally like Stine('s ghostwriter) just pulled random plot points out of a hat, never ever lets the reader in to any kind of internal logic and don't even feature anything scary.
Though "Monster Blood IV" has often been called the nadir of the series, I'll give you that. Fitting that it was the last one. Even the book where they're all dogs at least has a somewhat funny ending when one sees it as a joke at the expense of the franchise's overuse of werewolves.

Even as a kid I was always upset that the cover art of the books looked creepier than the story actually was
