Hi Valery,
I’m finally here in Prague after watching many videos of you since I started planning 5 months ago.
I’m actually more interested in finding you somewhere in the town 😂

Bata shoes (white canvas ones) were one of the top brands for school shoes in some parts of South East Asia in the 1970s to 1990s (no idea after that period). Bata actually started business here/in the region in the 1930s. We called it Ba-taa shoes as the brand used a regular t in the name, and of course we wouldn't have known how to pronounce ť. Today, there are over 200 Bata stores in the country that I'm in and about 5 stores near where I live.

Great video guys as always, I am very lucky that my wife is not a lover of shopping so I never get dragged around. We did come back with a lovely watercolour from a local artist on Charles Bridge😉

I'm delighted to confirm that Holesovice has such interesting shops. My wife and I are staying there later this year and are looking forward to checking out the shops that you showed in this video.

Thanks - I did need a headband (forgot to pack) and we were very near the Palladium mall. Used the close by bank ATM to get some cash and wandered the mall and found what I needed. Our hotel near Powder Gate was a great location for seeing everything easily.

RPG's!! This is brilliant and it may be a good idea to revisit this from time to time!!! I am not a shopper, but I just spent a month in Europe and at times needed things. If the weather is not what was forecasted, you might need to add to your clothes. Example, it was rainy and cold when I was in Sienna, I was also a good hour away from my hotel. Knowing where to get a cheap sweatshirt or rain jacket is a good way to keep the weather from ruining your day. My iPad charger would not work in Italy, I ducked into an electronics store and fixed my problem. THE BIGGEST THING!!! Go to a local grocery everywhere you go!!! First, it is good to keep snacks in your backpack and this is the best place to buy them. Second, you can get a good idea of what the locals are eating, it might be good and you might get to try it. Also for Americans, look at how inexpensive personal products are in Europe. Many of them are the same brands we have at half the price. In short knowing where to get stuff can save you money and may save your vacation. RPG's make any trip better!!!!

I just came back from visiting Prague and Kutná Hora and I'm currently recovering from post-travel depression (which I just googled and apparently it's a thing). I met Vaclav but didn't want to bother him while he was working :D and the food... I've been there a few times but this time was even better than before!

Wife and I traveled to Prague last summer. Our luggage stayed in Amsterdam. Could have used this video :P. We survived a week sans our luggage buying all the touristy clothes ;-)

I got in town on Friday and headed right to Primark to get an umbrella, sweatshirt and rain jacket because of the weather outlook. Of course the last 2 days have been sunny. Then bought groceries at the Albert. Going to Palladium tomorrow to hopefully get a key made for one I bent at my airbnb.

Favourite store? Well it's a bit niche but I really liked the second hand bookshop Eva Kozáková, on Myslíkova and not too far from the Dancing House. It's a good one and they were very friendly.
