I'm fine with my 3070ti, got it on sale and without tax.
Doesn't really matter what card you buy, just buy cards on sales and you're fine

True, unless you are not just a gamer and use gpus for ai or some heavy work (some applications are just optimized way better for nvidia and cuda cores). Also happy to see intel starting to roll out gpus. More competition = better deals for customers

I switched from NVIDIA to AMD and have never had so many graphics issues with games. If i was to rebuy today I would swap back to nvidia.

No. Wasted money before on several AMD cards. With continuous problems. I’ll just pay a little more and stick with RTX cards. However I do owe AMD a special thanks for helping to drive down the prices through effective competition

XD I can definitely agree with I would go red if I didn’t have connections and got a 3080 for $400

Man I have both AMD and Nvidia without drivers, so I can’t lose.💀

If you're doing 3D work like me then going with nvidia is a no brainer

I've always had AMD or back when it was ATI. I left AMD because back in 2010 period, they announced that their drivers will be yearly update only. And I had an AMD system with triple monitor setup. This meant that I had far less support from them to a very niche setup. This is why I switched to Nvidia. Soon after getting 980Ti, then 1080Ti until 2022. The thing that I noticed was how much of the game was built for Nvidia such as Physx and other Nvidia tools like fur and grass. Depsite those feature, I switched back to AMD with 6800 xt to pair with my 5600 X3D. I think it's a perfect pair and happy to know that their driver support are much better.

Amd drivers were bad back in 2019. I have not experienced a single issue after 2020. Currently in 2023 my overclocked rx580 performs few fps better than gtx1070 across the chart and i am still receiving driver updates adding optimisation for new released games.
I will be buying a rx6700xt very soon. I just need a card that can run everything maxed out at more than 100fps on 1080p or 1440p. At minimum 60fps on Microsoft flight sim set to ultra.
Rtx3070 goes for nearly 70% more money in my country than a 6700xt which is just about 500$ for the asrock challenger D.

And drivers are actually on par with nvidia drivers I find there very stable on my rx 6600 xt

My biggest gripe with AMD cards that they never made a xx80 killer at a good price. Follow up on this was the bad as nails drivers where at best you received drivers every 6 months if not longer. Back in 2011~2012-ish maybe 2013-ish I used to have an AMD card and after a fresh install of windows after about 6 or so months, I began getting random BSOD, error was related to AMD drivers failing.

I have not touched their cards since pretty much, people claim it is different now. But in order to be relevant with your hardware and price tag you MUST HAVE solid drivers and updates that come in at maximum of 90 days or less.

This is true for anyone not using AI/3D Modeling sadly....I really want the AMD pricing but CUDA cores just can't be beat for AI/3D Modeling applications.

True, I'm not a fanboy for either of them though because they both have done consumers dirty so fuck both of them but, I did get a 3080 just shy off of $600 on eBay and that means Nvidia won't be seeing my money, I wanted my RTX for single player games and the way I see it *right now* this is the most logical step to take, AMD has to catch up with RTX though so more people can start recognizing them as being more equivalent, even though they are! without the RTX which most people won't care about as it seems and sometimes even beat Nvidia's cards especially on that value so yes, definitely go for AMD cards!

Yeah the price for amd is great but I like the performance for Nivida and I buy used cards so really don’t have to worry.

Tried this 3 years back. My wonderful 780ti from 2013 finally died. Bought a 5700xt, it was much more powerful than the equivalent priced Nvidia card. Had it for a good couple of weeks, tried everything to make it work properly. But it was such a chore. Some games would crash, others would not even start. It's annoying because the hardware is clearly top class and I have no brand allegiance, but bought a 2060 Super instead and it's worked without fault since. Maybe next time I'll try another AMD GPU

Let’s be honest! Amd drivers already in the past! Last two years I was using a ryzen 2700U with vega10! I’ve played RDR2 everything runned perfectly and smooth! Then I’m even played Cyberpunk (ofc with 720p lowest settings and FSR on performance but honestly for a laptop which cost me 600$ it’s totally ok! Last month I’m switched to I7-11700H with Rtx 3070. Laptop is amazing running everything QHD with ulrta settings. BUT I’m found one thing in some games flickering on the screen. First I thought it’s the pc problems! But guess what? Brand new RTX 4090 has the same problems with RTX on in some games. And to solve it u have to update the bios which is already available! So I will leave the rest of the decision to u guys! But I can say that RTX difference u can feel it only in Cuberpunk! In that game it’s really makes sence and totally changes everyting but in other games I’m totally can’t feel the difference.
