International Multimedial Art Festival – IMAF is an annual event dedicated to performance art. International Festival of Multimedial Arts – IMAF has created a context in which different artists of various nationalities and age come together and, through their individual work, create a variety of research and suggestions on the medium of body and performance. As such, IMAF is not merely a festival, but a place where new ideas and conditions of performance, in the broader sense of art, become evolutionarily classified and researched. This makes it progressive and proactive, a space focused solely on developing new thoughts and ideas.

About artist:
Paloma Orts Pascual (Alcoy 1990). Visual artist specialized in performance art. I create and record the essence of interpersonal relationships and the forms of the subconscious through performative rites and archival records.
As a child she began with classical music, graduating at age 18 in piano-forte. Next, she began her studies in painting that led her to study Fine Arts; first at UAL (London) and later at UMH (Altea) and UB (Barcelona). Studies in London open the door to 'Conceptual Art', migrating from
painting to 'Action Painting', and consequently to performance and video art. In Barcelona, you will be introduced to archival art, which will allow you to move between creation of artistic actions and the recording of daily actions, filing personal and collective memories in author's books. In addition, through the curator and teacher, Assumpta Bassas, she will begin to work collectively, investigating the art of action in groups such as FEM (Girona), HER (Rotterdam), Perforamar (Barcelona), etc. At the same time, his individual works will be shown at Festivals such as "La Muga Caula" (Figueres) with "Mareta", "Month of Performance arte" (Berlin) with
Bubble and "22Cubic" (Hospitalet de Llobregat) with "Inhabiting Caminos", etc. He will also collaborate for years with the artist Ada Vilaró, performing works of a community nature in Festivals such as Santiago-Off (Chile) with "Latidos" or the opening of the Festival of Feria Tàrrega with "urgentestimar". And later, he will specialize as a teacher, giving workshops and regulated classes in institutes, schools and social groups. Moved by the similarity between ritualistic practices and the art of action, she will travel to the Andes of Peru, introducing herself to ancestral medicine, which will allow her to visualize, more deeply, the waters of the
subconscious and the need to work them collectively, through community rites . Thanks to this, she will create and direct play XIII, a community performance in which 13 women perform the transition between life and death. This piece premiered in the valleys of her homeland and later
at the IVAM-CADA in Alcoy, being selected and awarded by the 2020 Biennial of Women in Visual Arts.
