I had an emergency c section with my daughter and when I was finally able to shower the nurse helped me take off those cute hospital undies (🙄) and plop! The floor looked like a murder just occurred. It got on her shoes and the bottom on her pants. I was so embarrassed and started apologizing. She looked at me and said ‘don’t worry about it!! It happens all the time!’. She was such an angel. The world needs more great nurses!

We lost our little boy feb 25th, the nurses were amazing, they were so gentle with him. Took him to get his feet and handprints and made us a little memory box for him. They were extremely patient and loving when I didn’t want to leave him, they kept me updated with who was looking after him. I wish we had met them in better circumstances and I wish my son was here 🥺

EDIT: our son has blessed us with a sibling for him. It’s very early days, we are 7 weeks now ❤️ thank you all for the love in the comments it is very appreciated, god bless

My FIL is already on "bring mom sushi" duty and my husband is on "watch baby like a hawk duty" and MIL is "keep my mom from being so crazy I kick her out" duty. We all got our roles. Lol

Lol I’m 34 weeks and 3 days today went in for my apt and was having contractions 5 min apart, they sent me to the hospital and there they gave me meds to stop my labor, … we need little man to cook inside of me for at least another week!!! Fingers crossed!!!

Unfortunately, thats not at all what i experienced. It was one of the most traumatic situations I've ever been in. My nurse was mean, defensive, condescending, rude and unhelpful. There were zero issues or complications until after i delivered. My BP went stroke level and they let me leave with an elevated BP of 201/100. I won a lawsuit against them, but nothing will ever take away the trauma they put me through. It has lifelong effects 😢

I remember my first pee after birth i said woah! 😮 (seeing all the blood) and my nurse very rudely said “well what did you expect?!” The L&D nurses were all very very rude from being admitted to discharge 😢 wish we had people who actually cared like you do… if you dont like L&D then dont work it.. no one in labour wants rude nurses who seem to be annoyed by their patients 😒

I love how you’re showing everyone, especially soon to be moms everything that will happen in the hospital when they have their baby. It’s so scary for the first time and you don’t know what to expect. I would love for you to be my nurse, because you’re amazing! Keep it up 👍

I held my baby for 2 hours after she was born in the hospital (grandmother and dad took short turns but gave her right back) it was so beautiful

my nurse came to visit the next day after i gave birth in labor and delivery. she came up and told me not only to say congratulations, but that she was proud of me for giving life and i should be proud of myself. she even talked with my husband about cars (he is a mechanic) when i was having contractions because i like conversation around me when im in pain. she was so helpful not only medically, but emotionally- which is just as important. thank you nurses!

I would say don’t forget to mention pushing on the belly to help with contacting and making sure there’s nothing left behind. That happened around 30mins after the birth the first time and 2-3 more times after that throughout the day/night. I wasn’t aware that anyone would do that until they did

You inspire me so much at first I thought I wanted to be an anesthesiologist but now I want to be a labor and delivery nurse

Gonna be honest here: all that care and professionalism and clear love for a profession is what makes me want to have a baby (if I ever have one) at that hospital. Also, from other videos I've seen they provide so many accommodations! It's amazing

Every single time I got up to pee my nurse helped me. I low-key was like woah when the blood trickled down my legs lol. The nurse reassured me that i was okay❤

That all sounds about right. The first skin to skin is magical and knowing how to breastfeed the 2nd time around was ever better. New moms, ready for the nurse to massage your belly to help the uterus contract, immediately postpartum. Nursing baby will also release oxytocin to contract your uterus(youll feel uterus contractions) and possibly sleepiness so be sure to nurse somewhere comfortable for both yourself and baby during the early months.
