Thank you for the video. For those who will buy this kind of 3 way toggle switch they must have multimeters. First of all check the switch to ensure what type it is on middle position before soldering the wires.
2ndly when we buy 3 position switch ensure it is not on off on type although thry also have 6 legs.

Thank you for your video, addressing an aspect of toggle switches rarely found elsewhere. I'd like to respectfully point out that the video's title implies that the "ON-ON-ON" version of the three-position toggle is a "DPDT" type, but it is not. So, applying the name "DPDT" to these switches is incorrect. The proper name for the "ON-ON-ON" type is "SP3T." They use the same physical construction as a six-terminal DPDT toggle switch, but they function as a SP3T switch. This confusion sometimes arises because of the physical similarity of the two types.

You may want to add that a "type 1" on on on switch is shown in your drawing on the right, and a "type 2" on on on switch is depicted in the left drawing. Type 2 on on on switches seem to be much more common.

Hi, , i got mini toggle switch, 6 pronged how do i connect the gibson standard wiring ? What wire goles to what prong in the toggle switch, it has 6 pins and no ground obvisly it has a (chasisground), ,hope u can help me, i tried several forms of wiring and doesn t seems to work, , , thanks, ,,i can send u a photo if u want, ,

Do you know what brand the switch is? I have A very similar looking switch and it’s made by multicomp. I bought it for about £4 here in the U.K. It has a nice quality feel to it when you flick the switch
