I got in to a jam with a guy who was trying to open car doors and front doors to people’s homes. We got in to it. He was younger and faster than me, but after about 5 minutes, I had him subdued.
The police took over 45 minutes to show up. The kid was out in less than 30 minutes, and the case never even made it to court. He claimed I racially profiled him, and assaulted him first.
That was essentially an unreported crime. Crime is up. Reported crime is way down.
