Check out our latest Upload! Excavator, Tractor clearing trees!
A quick video of a beautiful Bobwhite Quail singing. Notice he is occupying a slash pile (pile of dead trees and tree tops) while singing. Some people have suggested that I get rid of all slash piles. This is why I like to keep many slash piles around, a lot of small critters take up shelter in them.

As a kid I would hear these all the time and copy their sounds. I can whistle and sound just like them now 😊

A Truly beautiful sound. As a kid I listened to these Constantly at my great Grandparent's cottages in North-Eastham Cape Cod.

Very cool. I have a call that my Dad made over 40 years ago that mimicks the female quail. I have had males fly to within a couple feet of me while I was sitting on my front porch.

Love this video! I’m in Tampa area and my dad taught me to call Quail when I was about 14 & I’m 70 now. Spring is great time to call as the roosters are searching out the hens. A buddy and I were bass fishing & I called and the rooster circled the boat. I couldn’t believe it!
Good for you leaving those brush piles! This brought back some good memories!

Imagine if your name was Bob White, you would be like "who keeps calling me?"

I grew up listening to several covies on our home place. I am able to whistle "bob white" pretty good. Last year I heard one around our place and actually called him in and he walked down our walkway not 10 feet from me. It was so nice to see that pretty little

It's answering the call of another quail in the distance, can hear it.

Back in the 70"s we had quail and pheasants here in Eastern Iowa, but not so much anymore. Now even rabbits are hard to spot. No fence rows now.

Beautiful. I used to hear this birdsong on my grandparents farm in NW Florida as a little girl.

I lived near a hay field several years ago. I know these little birds and keep hearing one calling. Finally he came out of the field and I got a good look of him. That sound lets me know I'm in the South in the summer.

I have been missing the Bobwhite for quite a while!!! Where we live in NC you just don’t hear the bird at all so this video is music to my ears 😊Thank you so much!!!

I loved this!

Have hunted a lot of quail on my family's southern Illinois farm.

I've never seen one actually whistling. ...until this video. Thanks!

Ever since I got into birds, I really wanted to see a Northern Bobwhite. They’re call is so cute. ☺️

We are serenaded every day by these beauties in Chatham, Massachusetts. There is a small fish pond and several birdbaths as well as 2 seed sources that they can use.

it’s very rare to here these in my area anymore so when you hear one in the wild, it’s very special

That's some good footage bud! I was just listening to an Arkansas quail and found this video to make sure of it. Ours sound a little different but have the same speech pattern.

I'm a landowner who refuses to get rid of the deadfall because it's nature's housing for my wildlife. I also preserve tall grass prairie. Don't let anyone criticize your land management practices. Haven't we already taken away too much habitat? Someone has to give them sanctuary.

Where my grandmother lived when I was little they had a lot of these. I'd ask her "what's that funny sound from?" and she'd tell me they were called Bob Whites, because if I listened, that's what they were saying. Calling for Bob White.

(Love) The sound of my childhood. The blizzards of 1977 and '78 killed most colonies in central Ohio, sadly.
