I know coaches who actually sae this happen live. They have told me it is one of the worst accidents they ever saw in person. And for reference, there used to be a rule that stated the skaters must not be more than a certain distance apart in the side by side spin element. (The element they were doing when she got hit) That rule was changed after this accident to avoid it from happening again.

She didn't quit pairs after the accident. She literally competed in pairs at the same spot and said she tried to remember the accident but couldn't. She said she had moved on from it. Why disrespect her with lies to dramatize her situation?

I remember this! So incredibly RARE! They outlawed moves that were dangerous, but the fact is that skating, or any sport for that matter, is always risky. Her partner was so emotional when this happened.

To anyone trying to assign blame to the choreographer or Bryce, this is one of those situations where nobody's really at fault but yes it's because of somebody's actions. If you'll notice when Jessica moves into the back camel spin position her first two rotations, before she gets injured, she is a little off balance and curves and travels noticeably across the ice towards him.

At the same time, instead of his normal directly straight jump into the flying camel he jumps ever so slightly to the right. We're talking about an inch maybe two here, but that is enough combined with her traveling a couple of feet towards him to make the accident possible.
This is the kind of accident that is an accepted risk when you enter a pair's partnership with another human being.
