💡 About This Video:

In the early 2000s, there was a trend towards grain-free diets in dog food. However, because meat is an expensive ingredient, companies started using lots of peas, legumes, rice and potatoes in their recipes. Eventually in 2018, there was a rise in dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) cases in dogs—and they were all eating grain-free recipes. Although it’s been five years, the cause is still unclear. It’s likely not due to the absence of grains, but possibly other ingredients and anti-nutrients in the recipes. Peas and legumes are a particular focus, and that’s one reason why I never included these ingredients in my dog’s diet.

Yeah why don’t you include the percentage out of all the millions of dog in The USA alone of getting dcm. It’s less than 1%
