This is actually why I like the Pokémon TCG so much, you don’t have others like yugioh or magic breaking away from the card style like full body artwork or even adding texture to their cards.

I think the Gimmighoul and Goldengo pose is a reference to Gurren Lagann. Kamina and Simon both hit a similar pose. Kamina while standing atop Gurren and Simon while inside the cockpit of Lagann, like Gimmighoul in the chest.

Slight correction is that the Perrin and Growlithe don't actually connect, instead the Perrin is from Growlithe's view and the Growlithe is the photo Perrin took

Dude the fact that they are creating these types of cards specifically for collecting and actually making the scenes and artwork super dope is so awesome! The future is looking bright. Maybe full art energy cards? I dunno, what do you guys think would be cool?
