Your mom was honestly smart af. Because if kids/teens really want to do something, they're going to find a way. I would MUCH rather my future children be with their partners and potentially intimate with protection and in my home where i know theyre safe (and they can call for help if a partner got violent/abusive) than in some random back ally where they might get hurt or catch charges.
