Got this at Aldi recently, looks decent enough.

I'm going to have to pay a visit to our local Aldi, I think!

Big Clive had one of these in bits just a couple of days ago, and also gave it a thumbs up.

Now, if two of you say it's good, then it must be good!

The Aldi tools are generally pretty decent quality. Look for the table vice (on offer down to £5 just now) - it’s no Panavise but perfectly sturdy enough and for the price it’s practically disposable!

That's a nice handy light :-D, from emergency lighting to illuminating the inside of a t.v.
Yes i noticed the lack of propper heatsinking, but i don't suppose it gets that hot.

I have ratchet spanners from aldi, very decent :-D
And a cheap digital caliper measurement tool, a bit cheap but after i gave the slider a clean it worked like a champ :-D

I'm wondering whether some cheap battery powered lights like these might do for making youtube videos, avoiding the noise made by mains powered lights. Not great colour temperature, as you say, but might work. The proper video lights I've seen are hellish expensive.

Aldi or Lidl always good for the bargains

I bought 3 of these very nice looking lights in 2023 in Germany and now in 2024 no one works although the two have been used only for initial check. Obviously this Ningbo lithium rechargeable battery inside is a total junk. So the ALDI quality control system.

I got the 20 Watt version here in germany, nice bargain :)
