The level of entitlement in this country is staggering. No one is responsible for YOUR debt. Will we excuse mortgage or car loan debt next? Absolute insanity

If we have billions to give to Ukraine, billions to waste on Military projects, billions to squander on left/right/up/down socio-political economic theater, then i think that this would be for once a good waste of money. And more importantly, I think they should cap the price of college as well going forward to prevent the need for this ever again.

I graduated with 50k in loans, and paid back half in the last ten years working like a damn DOG. But that money should have gone toward getting a home and living a life that showed the merits of my hard work. But instead I still hustle and pandemic has only exacerbated that.

So while I agree, education shouldn't be free, i think we should all agree it should not be the price of an Mercedes AMG...make it make sense....

Because FU if you paid off your loan or never went to college. What an absolute slap in the face.

Why did I wash dishes and ate leftover food to pay for my college while other rich kids borrow money and live a good life?
Now, I have to pay for them? How is it fair?

If this type of crap is approved we simplely fix it by refusing to pay taxes the people who work need to make a stand and make the government be more responsible .

if they are going to forgive 10, 000 off of a student loan, are they going to give those who paid their student loans 10, 000? only fair if you ask me.

I hope that doesn’t not get approved. I hope my taxes don’t pay for all those useless degrees that all those people decided to get on their own

Cancel $10K of my mortgage then. How is this fair on everyone that has paid off their debt? OR how about lessen my tax bill by 10K?

Stop paying, regardless of who you are.

Why should the taxpayer be shouldering the burden of the loans taken out by the most well off in society?
