This is the most important scene in modern movie history. I know how corky it sounds but i mean it to the grave. If there's ever a sonda launched to contact with aliens and that sonda would contain something that grasp a very core of humanism, ending of this movie should be in it.

The best scene of the film for me. Reis' longing for the fleeting moment to last as Kaneshiro blows off the underpass w/ a puff of smoke for which to reveal the Jardine House — as if to deliver her away from the underbelly and toward a beacon of hope.

I prefer this version! The new box sets the scene in black and white until the tunnel which feels less impactful. I like the overall feeling of early morning sky apparent in the restaurant, it sets the mood.
