This show is starting to bother. The plot is so superficial and rushed. So much real shit happens in college. This show make college seem like an away from home version of high school. I understand if the audience is middle school aged children. But it’s just too superficial.

I would love to see them tackle school shooting, gun control and suicide. They could even tackle this all in a special hour long episode that includes episodes after the hour long special, showing the aftermath like tighter security and talking about gun control while also involves a crossover with Blackish which could have her family come check in on her and talk about what happened. I know, it will probably never happen because it would be too dramatic and heavy.But, it would still be cool to see how they address these issues in America.

love the show but it wold be better if the show was 13 eps like season 1. that way we get more story and development in more condensed time. at the moment it feels like they dragging everything out character/plot wise. hopefully with 222 eps they focus more centrally on other characters, maybe even have episodes in other perspectives

I like reading complaints about how the show is superficial or not woke enough. It's funny because that just show how most people are ignorant of what college is really like, or they inflated since how deep they are.

Colleges are full of people who lack self awareness, who think they are down for the cause (no matter the cause) because they tweet about them and go to protest, who have a very narrow view of life while professing to be open minded. College students are basically toddlers, who can drive, drink and have an expansive vocabulary.

I love grownish but my critcisms are:


1. some of the lines and references need to be less corny, the humour is meant to be dry i get but the references don't really hit the mark (too try hard)
2. Pleaseee tackle actual grown up topics that come to solid or decent resolutions - for instance Zoey's drug addiction problem I feel wasn't properly "wrapped up"
3. Please introduce external throwaway one-off/ recurring characters to act as antagonists so that a proper debate can be formed and not a half-hearted one between friends
4. slightly longer episode or at least vary the time between them and a dark skinned woman

i love this show i do but:

A) Longer more in depth episodes ! The plot feels rushed when the episodes are short.

B) Jazz needs to apologize to Zoey! Y’all majorly glossed over that and it’s ruined Jazz’s character completely... honestly the whole group of friends should really apologize bc they’re always blaming Zoey for everything!
